The Douro Palace Hotel Resort & Spa, located on Quinta S.João associates its name to the river that runs at his feet. This 4-star hotel unit is surrounded by new vines, planted in honor of the Douro vineyard. As before, the Douro lurking by glass walls, and the balconies, also in glass to not interfere with the landscape. This space combines traditional nature with the architectural modernism in 60 rooms with a fabulous view of the river. The contemporary decor leaves the impression that this is not a conventional place.

In the old house lined with blue and white tiles, red tiles and granite foundations, joined other spaces of contemporary and bold strokes, but fully framed and in harmony with the old building roots.

The Douro Palace Hotel Resort & Spa is surrounded by 10 acres that make up this property, with a large part of these area a protected forest. In addition to the organic garden, the space features an outdoor swimming pool for adults and another for children, with a terrace support bar that opens in the summer months.

Inside the house we can find different services and Eca Restaurant, which adopted this name in honor of the writer who lived and who immortalized the region in the book "The City and the Mountains".

Restaurants & Bars
The Hotel has at your disposal a restaurant where wine assumes a prominent position. Great wines are present in the wine list.

Eça de Queirós

With a Portuguese and international cuisine well prepared and well presented, this area is open to guests of the Hotel and visitors. The restaurant seats 80 people.

Bar Tertúlia

Characterized by its intimate atmosphere and the warm colors. On Fridays and Saturdays we can listen to live music, blues, jazz, soul, which brings a bit of urban spirit to the rhythm of slow Rio Douro. We can also count on the Bar São João, in light tones with billiards snooker, and regicide time newspapers, found in demolition, framed and placed on the wall.

Located by the pool, this bar is open whenever the weather permits and you can enjoy national and international drinks and even a snack service.

Meeting Rooms

It has 4 multi-purpose rooms where you can hold meetings, banquets, conferences, exhibitions, weddings and all kinds of events.

We have some equipment, some of them free of charge subject to other budgeting - Flip chart, powerpoint, Screen, Sound System Capacity of rooms from 25 to 240 guests.


SPA

The philosophy of this SPA is to make known the Douro products through genuine sensory experiences through a selected set of exclusive treatments, in which the raw materials play a key role.

The SPA have at your disposal a relaxation pool with water jets, sauna, Turkish bath, individual treatment rooms and double so you can release the accumulated stress. It also has jetted Jacuzzi, Vichy shower and beauty and body treatments.
